A studio of forty-two, working quietly.

We take a small number of projects. We give them our lives.

Atelier was founded in 2004 in the harbour district of Copenhagen. Two decades on, we remain a single studio — deliberate about our size, our geography and the work we choose. We prefer the word atelier to firm.

Our teams combine architects, structural engineers, and directly employed craftspeople. A project partner remains present from the first site visit through the day the keys change hands, and for twenty-four months after.
